IT Technician

About the role

We are partnering with a Cambridge‑based organisation that is looking for a proactive IT Technician to join their team on a full‑time, permanent basis. You will provide both on‑site and remote support, ensuring the stability and security of their IT environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver on‑site and remote IT support for users and infrastructure.
• Maintain Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory and SharePoint services.
• Manage network devices, telephony, mobile device systems and ensure Cyber Essentials Plus compliance.
• Configure, deploy and maintain hardware, virtual desktops and software updates.
• Perform backups, monitoring, troubleshooting and disaster‑recovery activities.
• Keep IT documentation up to date and manage IT assets.
• Liaise with external support partners and suppliers.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience in a similar IT support role.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory and SharePoint.
• Solid understanding of networking, Cyber Essentials, anti‑virus and backup solutions.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and capacity to communicate technical issues to non‑technical colleagues.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, work accurately under pressure and collaborate within a team.
