IT Technician – Newcastle upon Tyne

About the role

We are seeking an experienced IT Technician to join a fast‑growing organisation in Newcastle upon Tyne. You will be the first point of contact for a user base of over 200 staff, providing 1st and 2nd line support for hardware, software and network issues while helping to maintain productivity across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver prompt 1st and 2nd line technical support for desktops, laptops, printers and mobile devices.
• Resolve software, operating system and network connectivity problems efficiently.
• Assist with onboarding and off‑boarding processes, including account creation, device configuration and user training.
• Maintain and monitor IT services and systems to ensure continuous availability.
• Document incidents, solutions and standard operating procedures.

Required profile

• Proven experience in 1st/2nd line IT support.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Familiarity with Windows Server, Microsoft 365 and Active Directory/Entra ID.
• Understanding of LAN/WAN, firewalls and VPN technologies.
• Ability to work in a newly established IT department within a growing company.
