IT Technician – School Support

About the role

The Hart School is looking for an enthusiastic IT Technician to join its dedicated IT team. You will provide day‑to‑day technical support to staff and students in a busy school environment, helping to keep all hardware and software running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver first‑line, customer‑focused IT support across the school campus.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software and user account issues in a Windows environment.
• Maintain and update school devices, ensuring they meet security and performance standards.
• Assist with occasional travel to the Tamworth site for support tasks.
• Document incidents and solutions to build a knowledge base for the team.

Required profile

• Reliable and motivated individual keen to develop an IT support career.
• Good understanding of computers, peripherals and common software applications.
• Ability to explain technical information clearly to non‑technical users.
• Logical, methodical approach to diagnosing and solving problems.

What we offer

• Permanent, full‑year contract (Grade 5 NJC Point 6‑9) with a salary of £25,989‑£27,254 per annum.
