IT User Support Specialist

About the role

An international law firm is looking for an IT User Support Specialist to join its growing technology team. This client‑facing position ensures day‑to‑day IT operations run smoothly and provides high‑quality support to users across the business, including fee earners and office staff.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line and deskside support for desktop hardware, software and mobile devices.
• Maintain and track hardware inventory with accurate records.
• Support office setups, breakdowns and internal moves.
• Deliver AV and video‑conference support, including room setup and troubleshooting.
• Assist with telephone, voicemail and remote‑access technologies such as Citrix, VPN and RDP.
• Log, track and escalate support tickets to ensure timely resolution.
• Identify recurring issues and propose training or process improvements.
• Coordinate with IT vendors and internal teams on technology rollouts and projects.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance across office systems.

Required profile

• Proven experience providing IT support in a professional office environment, preferably legal.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• Calm, adaptable approach in a fast‑paced environment with varied daily tasks.
• Service‑driven mindset, proactive in spotting issues and following through.
