Japanese Speaking Associate – Corporate Banking

About the role

This position is based in the City of London and serves as the first point of contact for Japanese‑speaking corporate banking clients. You will work in a hybrid model, spending at least three days per week in the office, and support a range of banking products and services.

Key responsibilities

• Respond promptly and accurately to client enquiries, maintaining high service standards and building lasting relationships.
• Perform administrative duties related to account management and transaction execution, adhering to internal policies.
• Collaborate with colleagues across international locations to resolve client issues, escalating to Relationship Managers when necessary.
• Gather and share information to foster effective inter‑office cooperation.
• Stay up‑to‑date with internal systems, procedures, and banking products, including credit facilities, deposits, loans, and foreign exchange.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a client‑facing role within corporate banking or financial services.
• Fluent written and spoken Business Japanese and strong English communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure while maintaining accuracy.

Required skills

• Advanced competence in Microsoft Excel.
• Advanced competence in Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
