Java Backend Software Engineer

About the role

As a Backend Engineer you will design, develop and maintain scalable, secure and high‑performing backend systems that power our innovative fintech products. You will work closely with a talented team to create solutions that drive financial inclusion and transform how people manage money across borders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead greenfield development and improve existing backend systems.
• Build RESTful APIs and engineer microservices for core services such as card payments, treasury management, transaction booking and crypto liquidity.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver high‑quality features quickly.

Required profile

• Proven experience in backend development with strong fluency in Java.
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or a related engineering/science discipline.
• Quick learner with an ambitious, results‑driven attitude and excellent English communication skills.
• Track record of building complex products used by millions in fast‑growing startups.
