Junior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Junior Accountant to join our accountancy practice in Finchley. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early‑career professional to work with a diverse client base and develop core accounting skills.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of year‑end accounts for various clients.
• Prepare bookkeeping records and submit VAT returns.
• Support the preparation of personal and corporation tax returns.
• Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate financial records.
• Liaise with clients, respond to queries and provide day‑to‑day support.
• Collaborate with senior team members on client projects.

Required profile

• AAT qualified or currently studying, or a degree in Accounting & Finance.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational abilities.
• Good communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks.
