Junior Business Development Manager

About the role

This is an entry‑level opportunity for a technically‑savvy sales professional to join a growing UK manufacturer of high‑performance industrial packaging solutions. You will receive structured training, work alongside experienced commercial colleagues and progress towards managing your own customer portfolio across the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Develop technical knowledge of specialist industrial packaging products and manufacturing processes.
• Build and maintain relationships with manufacturers, engineers, procurement teams and commercial decision‑makers.
• Identify and qualify new business opportunities within existing accounts and new markets.
• Prepare quotations, commercial proposals and technical recommendations.
• Collaborate with production, operations and customer service to deliver tailored solutions.
• Support senior Business Development Managers on customer projects and account development.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and manage your sales pipeline.
• Travel to customer sites as required.

Required profile

• Motivated individual with a passion for technical selling.
• Experience in technical sales, internal sales, sales engineering or a related commercial role.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build trust with customers.
• Willingness to learn about complex packaging and product protection challenges.
