Junior Buyer – Beauty Retail

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Buyer to join the commercial team of a fast‑growing online beauty retailer. Based in Cleckheaton, you will support the Head of Commercial in managing supplier relationships, stock levels and product performance across a diverse beauty portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Manage buying activities for a selection of beauty brands within the portfolio.
• Create and raise purchase orders in line with the buying cycle.
• Follow up overdue orders and communicate delivery updates with the warehouse team.
• Monitor sales spikes and stock performance to ensure customer demand is met.
• Analyse stock levels against sales data and propose commercially relevant adjustments.
• Negotiate promotions and offers with suppliers to support trading activity.
• Maintain accurate stock files and generate new product codes in the system.
• Provide ad‑hoc commercial and operational support to wider business functions.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a buying or purchasing role within the beauty sector.
• Strong numerical and analytical abilities with commercial awareness.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Effective communication and high attention to detail.
• Proactive, flexible and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment.
• Genuine passion for the beauty industry.
