Junior Buyer

About the role

We are supporting an emerging family‑run electronics manufacturing business in need of a Junior Buyer. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, you will help drive sales support through accurate estimating and procurement, ensuring a smooth flow of parts across the supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Raise purchase orders and manage delivery schedules to meet production plans.
• Support negotiations to secure competitive pricing and favourable terms.
• Monitor material availability and proactively address shortages or delays.
• Place and schedule parts in line with MRP requirements.
• Maintain the MRP system so it accurately reflects stock dates, locations and quantities.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a similar purchasing role (desirable).
• Experience in contracts within electronics manufacturing (desirable).
• Strong analytical ability, attention to detail and commitment to deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to collaborate with internal teams.
• Fluent English; Mandarin or Cantonese is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
• Experience using an MRP system.

• 36.5‑hour week, Monday‑Friday with flexible start/finish times.
