Junior CAD Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Junior CAD Engineer to join our technical team in East Grinstead. The role is a full‑time permanent position with a hybrid working pattern – one day a week remote and four days in the office.

Key responsibilities

• Produce technical drawings and designs using AutoCAD.
• Carry out heat‑loss and heat‑gain calculations for CAT A and CAT B projects.
• Support pre‑sales activities and compile technical submissions for quotations.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, specifications and data sheets.
• Provide technical support to clients via email and telephone.
• Liaise with internal teams to ensure timely project delivery.
• Manage client communications and expectations on technical queries.
• Perform general document and drawing administration.

Required profile

• Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong AutoCAD (or similar CAD) skills.
• Excellent numerical and analytical ability.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, reactive environment.
• Strong organisational and time‑management skills.

Required skills

• AutoCAD (or comparable CAD software).
• Heat‑loss and heat‑gain calculation techniques.
• Familiarity with IES or similar building‑modelling software (desirable).
