Junior Category Manager (FMCG)

About the role

This position sits within the branded ambient foods division and will drive category growth while providing actionable insights for a global FMCG business operating in the UK market.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse market data to identify growth opportunities and emerging trends.
• Develop and execute category strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to ensure cohesive category plans.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key retailers and stakeholders.
• Monitor competitor activity and deliver recommendations to sustain a competitive edge.
• Prepare and present performance reports to senior management.
• Manage category budgets and allocate resources efficiently.
• Support innovative solutions that address consumer needs across London and beyond.

Required profile

• Open to candidates with sales, buying, category or analytical backgrounds.
• Commercial mindset with transferable skills; FMCG experience required for senior‑level consideration.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building abilities.
