Junior Data Analyst – Health Policy & Research

About the role

The Junior Data Analyst will join the Centre for Health Policy and the Institute of Global Health Innovation at Imperial. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver quantitative analyses that support both academic research and policy initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver statistical and data‑science analyses for health‑policy projects.
• Apply data visualisation techniques to translate insights from national and global healthcare datasets.
• Support the production of academic papers and policy briefs.
• Maintain reproducible analytical pipelines and ensure data security in a Secure Research Environment.

Required profile

• Early‑career professional with a strong interest in healthcare data.
• Knowledge of accessing and analysing sensitive UK health data (e.g., HES, CPRD).
• Experience using R and Python within a Secure Research Environment.
• Solid grounding in statistics, machine learning, epidemiology and natural language processing.
• Ability to communicate technical findings to non‑technical audiences.
