Junior Data Analyst

About the role

LiveMore is looking for a Junior Data Analyst to join its Data Science & Engineering team in Central London. This hands‑on, learning‑by‑doing position is designed for a numerate graduate eager to start a career in data science and engineering, working closely with senior Data Scientists and Data Engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Support routine BAU tasks such as scheduled data pulls, management reporting and data‑quality checks.
• Monitor data pipelines, flag anomalies or failures and collaborate with the team to resolve issues.
• Maintain a backlog of data and analytical support tickets.
• Write Python scripts (e.g., in Jupyter Notebooks) for analytical and engineering tasks.
• Create and optimise SQL queries to extract and transform data.
• Apply standard statistical techniques – descriptive analytics, distributions, correlation and trend analysis – to produce insight summaries.
• Assist modelling and segmentation work by preparing datasets, running exploratory analysis and supporting model evaluation.
• Document processes, queries and outputs to build business knowledge.
• Identify opportunities to automate recurring tasks and propose solutions.

Required profile

• Degree (2:1 or above) in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, statistics, economics, computer science or a related field.
• Familiarity with Python and SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
