Junior Data Analyst – Marine, Cargo & Logistics

About the role

We are seeking a curious and analytical graduate or early‑career professional to join our Marine, Cargo and Logistics Specialty team as a Junior Data Analyst. You will work hands‑on with brokers, data specialists and technology teams, turning complex datasets into clear insights that support business decisions across sport, media and entertainment.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with brokers and business stakeholders to translate real‑world problems into data questions.
• Explore, prototype and shape analytical approaches and user stories.
• Clean, analyse and validate data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy.
• Build insights, visualisations and case studies for client discussions and proposals.
• Identify patterns and trends, explaining their practical implications.
• Use modern analytics tools to convert raw data into actionable outputs.
• Work closely with data, technology and analytics teams across the group.
• Document work and adhere to best‑practice data standards.

Required profile

• A degree (or equivalent) in a numerate or analytical subject such as maths, statistics, data science, economics, engineering or sciences.
• Strong attention to detail and logical thinking.
• Genuine interest in how data influences business decisions.
• Confidence communicating ideas to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Inquisitive, problem‑solving mindset.

Required skills

• Excel for data analysis.
• Exposure to Python, SQL and/or R through study or projects.
• Familiarity with data visualisation tools such as Power BI or similar.
• Interest in modern data platforms (e.g., Databricks).
