Junior Design Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Design Engineer to join our specialist engineering team in Coventry. You will work on bespoke machinery projects for the pharmaceutical sector, gaining hands‑on experience from concept through to installation while receiving continuous training and mentorship.

Key responsibilities

• Design bespoke machinery using 3D CAD software.
• Support projects from initial concept through to completion and handover.
• Assist with project engineering and delivery activities.
• Liaise with customers, suppliers, and manufacturing teams.
• Provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare engineering documentation and contribute to design reviews.
• Help with installation, commissioning and customer handovers.

Required profile

• Experience as a Junior, Graduate or Mechanical Design Engineer, or similar.
• Background in designing bespoke or special‑purpose machinery, gained through industry, placement or apprenticeship.
• Proficiency with a 3D CAD package.
• Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn.
• A Mechanical Engineering qualification or equivalent industry experience.
