Junior Designer (Hybrid, Brighton)

About the role

Designate is seeking a passionate Junior Designer to join its creative team in Brighton. This hybrid role blends office collaboration with the flexibility to work remotely, allowing you to contribute to a wide range of projects from brand identity to OOH posters and digital banners.

Key responsibilities

• Create bold design work across digital, print, animation, and brand identity channels.
• Develop presentation decks that effectively sell concepts to clients.
• Collaborate with writers, art directors, and other creatives to deliver final outputs.
• Research client sectors, competitors, and industry trends to inform design decisions.
• Participate in team meetings with Creative, Client Services, and Operations departments.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a creative or design agency.
• Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of design work.
• Ability to think beyond briefs and generate innovative concepts.
• Enthusiasm for continuous learning and staying up‑to‑date with design trends.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Figma.
• Basic knowledge of After Effects (preferred but not essential).
• Experience prompting AI tools as part of the design workflow.
