Junior Designer - Sky Sports News

About the role

Sky Sports News is looking for a Junior Designer to join its team in Osterley, London. The role creates brand and information graphics for fast-paced, reactive multiplatform storytelling across a wide range of sporting events, from live TV output to longer-form branding projects, animated explainers and title sequences. It works on a rotational shift pattern within the live Sky Sports News rota, with early starts, late finishes and weekend work.

Key responsibilities

• Develop brand and information graphics for multiplatform storytelling across sporting events.
• Work across creative briefs, from live reactive TV output to branding projects, animated explainers and title sequences.
• Support the continued development of the Sky Sports News brand as audiences grow across platforms.
• Communicate clearly and present creative ideas to colleagues.
• Contribute to a supportive creative environment and help junior colleagues where appropriate.

Required profile

• Strong interest in high-quality graphic design and visual storytelling.
• Passion for design, motion design, information design and branding.
• Ability to think cross-platform, including TV, mobile, web, social media and print.
• Understanding of the current Sky Sports brand identity and values.
• Ability to work accurately and with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Right to work in the UK; no sponsorship offered.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop.
• Strong creative and conceptual skills.
• Desirable: formal design training, an interest in sport and sports storytelling, and experience with After Effects.
