Junior DevOps Engineer – Cloud & Linux (2-5 yrs)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated DevOps Engineer to join our UK team. The role focuses on supporting cloud‑based environments, Linux systems, and basic automation tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine Linux file operations and manage permissions.
• Assist with basic networking tasks such as IP addressing, DNS configuration and firewall concepts.
• Write and maintain simple Bash scripts and occasional Python scripts for automation.
• Use Git and GitHub for source‑code version control, including branching and merging.
• Support CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
• Work with Docker containers, creating and managing images.
• Contribute to cloud infrastructure on AWS or Azure, understanding VMs, storage and networking.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of relevant experience.
• Willingness to learn new tools and follow documentation.
• Strong problem‑solving attitude and ability to work collaboratively.

Required skills

• Linux command‑line proficiency.
• Bash scripting (basic).
• Python (basic).
• Git and GitHub.
• Jenkins, GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps (CI/CD concepts).
• Docker (container basics).
• AWS or Azure cloud fundamentals.
• Basic networking, DNS and HTTP/HTTPS knowledge.
• Terraform (basic IaC awareness).
• Prometheus and Grafana (monitoring awareness).
• YAML (basic familiarity).
