Junior Electrical Engineer – Edinburgh

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Electrical Engineer to join a growing building‑services design consultancy as it launches its new Edinburgh office. The role offers early responsibility, exposure to senior leadership and the chance to work on a diverse portfolio of projects across Scotland and the North of England.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the design of electrical building services systems, including lighting, power, fire alarm and data.
• Prepare calculations, technical reports, specifications and schedules.
• Produce and review design drawings using industry‑standard software.
• Support site visits, surveys and project inspections.
• Collaborate closely with mechanical engineers, architects and project teams to deliver sustainable solutions.

Required profile

• Degree or HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong interest in building services and electrical design engineering.
• Good communication and teamwork skills with a proactive attitude.
• Full UK driving licence is advantageous.
