Junior Finance Assistant – Plant Hire Sector

About the role
We are looking for a motivated Junior Finance Assistant to join a well‑established plant hire company. You will work closely with the Finance Manager, gaining hands‑on experience across a range of finance activities in a supportive, collaborative environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in preparing monthly management accounts and financial analysis.
- Produce and issue customer invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Conduct credit checks for new and existing customers.
- Manage outstanding debtor accounts and generate aged debt reports.
- Support cash‑flow analysis, budgeting and forecasting.
- Prepare reports, summaries and spreadsheets for senior management.
Required profile
- Junior Finance Assistant or similar experience.
- Currently studying towards AAT or an equivalent qualification.
- Able to commute to Silloth (or from Carlisle).
Required skills
- AAT (or equivalent).
- QuickBooks.
- Microsoft Excel.
