About the role
This is a customer‑facing position supporting end users across multiple school sites. You will maintain and repair computer equipment, distribute ICT consumables and ensure that technology is ready for everyday teaching and learning.
Key responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair PCs, laptops, peripherals and software applications.
- Install and update desktops, laptops and required software, applying the latest security fixes.
- Set up ICT equipment for events when required.
- Assist the manager with consumable stock control and maintain IT asset records.
- Maintain personal expertise in specific ICT areas to provide accurate advice and support.
Required profile
- GCSE level education (including Maths and English).
- CompTIA (D) or similar ICT qualification.
- Experience supporting users in an educational environment.
- Good literacy, numeracy and communication skills.
- Full DBS disclosure.
Required skills
- Microsoft Windows operating system.
- Microsoft Office suite.
- PC and laptop hardware troubleshooting.
- Basic knowledge of interactive whiteboards.
- Understanding of cloud‑based operating systems.
- LAN and DHCP networking concepts.
