Junior IT Support Technician – Watford

About the role

We are looking for a Junior IT Support Technician to provide both onsite and remote support to primary schools in Hertfordshire. You will help maintain, install and troubleshoot a variety of IT systems, gaining hands‑on experience in a customer‑facing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver onsite and remote technical support to local primary schools.
• Install and configure hardware, networking equipment and software.
• Troubleshoot Windows PCs, Microsoft Office applications and related issues.
• Visit schools during term time and carry out larger projects during school holidays.
• Document incidents and resolutions in the service management system.

Required profile

• Genuine passion for IT and technology.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
• Proactive, organised approach to problem solving.
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals.
• Experience with PC hardware installation and maintenance.
