Junior IT Technician

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior IT Technician to join our school network in North London. This permanent, full‑time position offers the chance to develop a career in IT support while working across several educational sites.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line IT support to staff and students across one or more schools.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues on Windows, macOS and ChromeOS devices.
• Manage support tickets, ensuring progress in line with service level agreements.
• Troubleshoot basic network and connectivity problems.
• Support classroom technology, AV equipment and other educational hardware.
• Assist with device roll‑outs, upgrades and broader IT projects.

Required profile

• Strong interest in IT and a desire to build a career in technical support.
• Basic understanding of IT systems and troubleshooting processes.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to manage workload, prioritize tasks and work proactively.
• Willingness to learn and develop new technical skills.

Required skills

• Experience with Windows, macOS and ChromeOS operating systems.
• Basic network troubleshooting capabilities.
• Familiarity with AV equipment and classroom technology.
• Knowledge of device roll‑out and upgrade procedures.
• Understanding of IT support in a multi‑user environment.
• Awareness of data protection and information security principles.
• ITIL 5 Foundation qualification (or motivation to obtain it).
