Junior Legal Cashier – Finance Team

About the role

Our client, a respected law firm with offices across Dorset, Somerset and Devon, is looking for a Junior Legal Cashier to join its Finance team in Bridgwater. Working closely with the Finance Manager, you will support daily financial operations and gain valuable experience in legal finance.

Key responsibilities

• Process financial transactions and post them to the accounts system.
• Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
• Enter and process client bills and maintain the purchase ledger.
• Execute bank transfers, authorise payments and handle client payments by card, cash or cheque.
• Support credit control processes and maintain the breach register.
• Assist with month‑end procedures and preparation of management accounts.
• Provide ad‑hoc support to fee earners and other departments.
