Junior Legal Cashier

About the role

This entry‑level position supports the Cashiering Manager and Senior Cashier of a dynamic city law firm. You will handle routine cashiering tasks, focusing on the office account, and provide cover during absences.

Key responsibilities

• Daily bank reconciliations for the office account and, when required, client accounts.
• Review and post transactions in the 3E accounting system.
• Process anticipated disbursement invoices and purchase foreign currency via Convera.
• Reconcile IPO, WIPO, OHIM, and credit‑card accounts.
• Execute CHAPS payments and ensure compliance with SRA rules.
• Answer queries from partners, fee earners and legal assistants.
• Cover the Cashier Manager, Senior Cashier and Accounts Payable during leave.
• Post bills and credit notes within 24 hours of receipt and manage time‑entry transfers.

Required profile

• Prior junior experience in a legal or professional services environment.
• Strong numeracy, accuracy and attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of basic accounting principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the 3E accounting software.
