Junior Mechanical Project Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Mechanical Project Manager to join a leading technical main contractor delivering complex, mission‑critical projects across the UK. This hands‑on role is ideal for a plumber, pipefitter, HVAC engineer or mechanical supervisor looking to transition into site management and progress within a major contractor environment.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate mechanical subcontractors, direct labour and specialist trades on site.
• Monitor progress against the programme and report to senior site leadership.
• Ensure all mechanical works comply with quality standards, drawings and specifications.
• Attend site coordination and progress meetings.
• Maintain strong health & safety standards and site compliance at all times.

Required profile

• Strong mechanical background such as plumber, pipefitter, HVAC engineer or mechanical supervisor.
• Experience in industrial, pharmaceutical, manufacturing or data‑centre environments.
• Ambition to progress into construction or project management roles.
• Willingness to travel or stay away for projects when required.
• Proactive mindset with strong communication and organisational abilities.
