Junior Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer – Field Based

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Multi‑skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a leading global machinery manufacturer’s UK subsidiary. The role is field‑based, covering a regional patch centred on Bristol with regular overnight stays to service automation and manufacturing equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and breakdown repairs on a variety of packaging and production machinery.
• Travel across sites in the South West (including Birmingham, Worcester, Swindon, Cardiff) and stay overnight as required.
• Respond to on‑call telephone requests and support customers remotely.
• Complete service documentation and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

Required profile

• Maintenance qualification or relevant hands‑on experience.
• Multi‑skilled background able to work on mechanical, automation and electrical systems.
• Willingness to undertake regular overnight stays and travel within the regional patch.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality.
