Junior Project Engineer – Heavy Lifting Solutions

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Project Engineer to design and deliver heavy‑lifting solutions for critical infrastructure projects across nuclear, marine, defence and civil engineering. Based in Portishead, you will work on complex lifting systems that move equipment over 500 tonnes by barge, crane and HGV. You will join a rapidly growing company that is becoming a go‑to name for critical infrastructure projects. The role provides one‑on‑one training from industry experts and a tailored development plan from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Create detailed technical AutoCAD drawings for lifting structures.
• Develop smart engineering solutions for heavy‑lifting operations.
• Oversee projects from design through to delivery, ensuring safety and compliance.
• Collaborate with clients and site managers to understand and solve technical challenges.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation and reports.

Required profile

• Background in project design for heavy‑lifting solutions.
• Experience with heavy lifting solutions.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
• Commutable distance to Portishead or willingness to relocate.
