Junior Quantity Surveyor – Construction Projects

About the role

Our client, a family‑run construction business based in Bromley, is expanding and seeks a Junior Quantity Surveyor to support groundworks projects. The role will involve assisting senior surveyors with cost control, measurement and client liaison across a range of sites.

Key responsibilities

• Price tender inquiries, conduct on‑site visits, condition surveys, capture photographs and measure works as required.
• Generate monthly valuations and accounts, ensuring timely receipt of all variation records.
• Verify subcontractor rates include necessary safety provisions.
• Provide clients with cost estimates for additional works.
• Assist in compiling contract performance assessment sheets upon project completion.
• Maintain precise documentation of project costs and values.
• Apply work measurement principles to efficiently manage and record project costs.

Required profile

• Relevant construction experience; HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying desirable.
• Strong understanding of work measurement principles.
• Excellent communication and solid English language skills.
• Full, valid driving licence.
• Live within a commutable distance of Bromley.
• Confident, approachable and able to engage in banter.
