Junior Rotational Pharmacist

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Rotational Pharmacist to join the pharmacy department of London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust. The role offers a structured, competency‑based training programme with mentorship and the chance to rotate through several specialist pharmacy services across our hospitals.

Key responsibilities

• Provide specialist pharmaceutical care to inpatient wards.
• Screen and dispense prescriptions in line with medicines legislation and trust policies.
• Identify and reduce medication‑related risks.
• Offer advice to patients and clinical staff on dosing, side‑effects and medication optimisation.
• Participate in the Trust’s CPD scheme and in‑house training programmes.
• Undertake rotations in clinical pharmacy, therapeutic drug monitoring, drug information and the specials manufacturing unit.

Required profile

• Recent pharmacy graduate eligible for registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
• Enthusiasm for a rotational training scheme and commitment to person‑centred care.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to pursue further study such as the diploma in general pharmacy practice.
