Junior Sales Analyst – Commercial Executive

About the role

This is a hybrid, full‑time position for a Junior Sales Analyst (Commercial Executive) based in Wigan. The role is ideal for recent graduates, junior analysts, or administrators in merchandising, supply chain or planning who want to develop commercial analysis skills within a fast‑growing product sourcing company.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse large and complex data sets to identify trends, opportunities and risks.
• Assess product profitability and recommend optimisation measures.
• Develop pricing strategies based on market analysis and competitive benchmarking.
• Partner with New Product Development teams to evaluate commercial viability of new products.
• Conduct margin and profitability analysis and monitor pricing compliance.
• Support promotional and launch pricing models and evaluate their impact on revenue.
• Review macro‑economic factors such as exchange rates, UK economy and consumer confidence that could affect commercial performance.

Required profile

• Strong background in commercial analysis with experience handling large data sets.
• Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, modelling, data analysis).
• Experience with data visualisation or BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Effective communication and presentation skills for non‑technical audiences.
• Degree in Mathematics, Business, Finance, Economics or related field preferred.
• Positive team player attitude.
