Junior Software Engineer (Medical Device Validation)

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Software Engineer to join a global leader in healthcare and medical technology. You will work on‑site in Witney, embedded within a collaborative team of QA and engineering professionals, supporting software development for life‑changing medical devices.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic guidance on validation processes within medical device project teams.
• Ensure software teams comply with software validation lifecycles and strict medical device regulations.
• Author, review, and execute validation protocols, reports, and technical documentation.
• Lead change‑control activities in line with the quality management system (QMS).
• Support the wider QA team with audits, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Experience in a regulated environment, preferably medical devices (ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR Part 820).
• Background as a Validation Engineer with hands‑on experience writing validation protocols.
• Ability to provide practical, proactive guidance to development teams.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to compliance.
