Junior Technical Support Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Technical Support Engineer to join our growing technical operations team in Croydon. The role is hands‑on and ideal for someone at the start of their technical career who enjoys troubleshooting systems, learning new technologies and supporting devices across multiple sites.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot technical issues across devices, networks and operating systems.
• Diagnose faults methodically, identify root causes and document findings.
• Support remotely deployed devices and systems across multiple locations.
• Investigate connectivity, networking and device configuration problems.
• Work with Windows environments, including system configuration, command‑line tools and event logs.
• Maintain secure remote access and follow security best practices.
• Create and update technical documentation, tickets, SOPs and troubleshooting guides.
• Assist with device management, inventory and technical operations processes.
• Collaborate with technical and non‑technical colleagues to resolve issues.
• Occasionally visit sites for hands‑on investigations.

Required profile

• Strong technical fundamentals and a logical approach to problem solving.
• Genuine desire to learn and develop technical skills.
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals, IP addressing and basic network troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with VPNs and secure remote access concepts.
• Experience or interest in working with Windows operating systems.
• Ability to produce accurate technical documentation and maintain ticket records.
