Key Account Export Operator

About the role

We are seeking a Key Account Export Operator to manage export and cross‑trade shipments for a key client of a growing freight forwarder. The role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring regulatory compliance and meeting agreed service levels. You will act as the primary operational contact for the assigned global customer.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure seamless execution of export and cross‑trade shipments for a key client.
• Act as the primary day‑to‑day operational contact for the assigned global customer.
• Prepare and validate export documentation, including Air Waybills, commercial invoices, packing lists and customs declarations.
• Manage bookings with airlines, handling agents and approved logistics partners.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with client stakeholders.
• Provide proactive updates on shipment status, delays and resolution plans.
• Ensure customer requirements and service level agreements (SLAs) are consistently achieved.
• Conduct regular service reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Handle quoting, rate‑card management and shipment profitability analysis.
• Negotiate with overseas offices and suppliers.

Required profile

• Background in forwarding or logistics.
• High‑level customer service orientation.
• Team player with strong organisational skills.
• Robust time‑management abilities.
• Confident and articulate communicator.

Required skills

• Proficient in MS Office.
• Experience with CargoWise (advantage).
