About the role
We are seeking a qualified Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant to support two Year 4 pupils with mild SEND in a vibrant primary school in Four Oaks, Sutton Coldfield. The position starts in September 2026 on a full‑time basis and may become permanent for the right candidate.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one support to SEN pupils, fostering independence and confidence.
- Implement creative interventions and adapt lessons to meet individual needs.
- Collaborate with the class teacher to deliver the KS1 curriculum effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and interventions.
Required profile
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (NVQ or CACHE preferred).
- Recent primary school experience (within the last two years).
- Experience supporting pupils with SEN on a one‑to‑one basis.
- Familiarity with the KS1 curriculum.
Required skills
- MAKATON (preferable but not essential).
