About the role
We are seeking a qualified Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Four Oaks, Sutton Coldfield. The role supports two Year 4 pupils with mild SEND on a full‑time basis, starting September 2026, with the potential to become a permanent position.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one support to Year 4 pupils with mild special educational needs.
- Implement creative interventions to encourage independent learning.
- Assist the class teacher in delivering the KS1 curriculum.
- Maintain a calm, patient classroom environment.
- Collaborate with staff to monitor pupil progress and adapt support as needed.
Required profile
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (NVQ or CACHE preferred).
- Recent primary school experience (within the last two years).
- Experience supporting pupils with SEN on a one‑to‑one basis.
- Good knowledge of the KS1 curriculum.
Required skills
- MAKATON (preferred but not essential).
