Key Stage 2 Teacher

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Key Stage 2 Reading Teacher to join a supportive primary school in September 2026. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality reading lessons and interventions to improve literacy outcomes across Key Stage 2.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging reading lessons and targeted interventions for KS2 pupils.
• Support pupils in developing fluency, comprehension, vocabulary and a love of reading.
• Collaborate with class teachers and school leaders to raise overall reading standards.
• Assess pupil progress, analyse data and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
• Contribute to the school’s wider literacy initiatives and reading culture.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in England.
• Proven experience teaching within Key Stage 2.
• Strong understanding of reading pedagogy and literacy development.
• Passion for improving outcomes for all learners.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
