About the role
We are looking for a dedicated Key Stage 3 Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher to join a specialist provision in Ealing. The role involves delivering engaging, differentiated lessons to KS3 students with a range of SEND profiles within a safe and inclusive environment.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons for Key Stage 3 students with SEND.
- Support pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties, and other learning challenges.
- Develop and implement individual learning plans and monitor progress against EHCP targets.
- Adapt teaching methods, resources and classroom activities to meet diverse learning needs.
- Maintain a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages independence and engagement.
- Assess, record and report student progress to parents, carers and senior staff.
- Implement effective behaviour management and support emotional regulation.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants, SENCOs, therapists and external professionals.
- Uphold safeguarding, wellbeing, equality and inclusion at all times.
- Participate in school meetings, training sessions and extracurricular activities as required.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience working with KS3 students in SEN, alternative provision or inclusive settings.
- Strong understanding of SEND strategies and differentiated teaching approaches.
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
- Strong communication, organisational and assessment abilities.
- Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
