Kitchen Assistant - Bank

About the role
We are looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated Kitchen Assistant – Bank to join our award‑winning team at Camberley Woods Care Home. You will support the catering function by preparing food and maintaining a clean, safe environment for residents.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation and beverage service while adhering to high hygiene standards.
- Maintain a clean kitchen and work area to ensure safe production of meals.
- Follow safe food handling principles and health‑and‑safety procedures.
- Support team members, respond positively to instructions and help with ordering supplies.
- Respect the dignity and individuality of residents and their visitors.
Required profile
- Hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and demonstrate high personal hygiene.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety, including moving and handling, fire safety and COSHH.
- Ability to perform sustained physical effort and handle a demanding workload.
- Initiative, flexibility and a positive attitude to teamwork.
