About the role
We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join the college kitchen in Greater Manchester. You will support chefs with basic food preparation, maintain high standards of hygiene, and help manage stock and deliveries in a busy educational environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assist chefs with food preparation and kitchen hygiene
- Deep clean ovens, sinks and workstations as required
- Manage stock levels and store deliveries safely
- Chop ingredients, wash pots and utensils
- Sanitise workstations and ensure compliance with food safety standards
Required profile
- Knowledge of kitchen operations and hygiene practices
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Strong communication skills
- Food Hygiene certification
- Food Safety certification
- Experience working in a commercial kitchen
