Kitchen Assistant – Part‑time (20‑25 hrs/week)

About the role
We are looking for a reliable Kitchen Assistant to join the team at Osprey Court Care Home in Blairgowrie. Working 20‑25 hours per week, you will help deliver high‑quality meals in a clean, safe and well‑organised kitchen environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the Chef with food preparation and cooking tasks.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the kitchen.
- Receive deliveries, store supplies and organise stock.
- Support safe food handling and follow hygiene procedures.
- Help ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently each day.
Required profile
- Positive, reliable attitude.
- Good organisation and attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills; previous kitchen experience is a plus but not essential.

- Food safety knowledge.
What we offer
- £12.71 per hour.
- 20‑25 hours per week, part‑time temporary contract.
- Paid PVG, pension scheme and uniform provided.
- 5.6 weeks annual leave (pro‑rated).
