About the role

Join the award‑winning team at Merlin Court Care Home in Marlborough as a Kitchen Assistant. You will help prepare nutritious meals and beverages for residents while maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation and cooking according to safe food‑handling standards.
• Keep the kitchen and work areas clean and hygienic at all times.
• Monitor stock levels, advise on quality, and support timely ordering of supplies.
• Respect residents and visitors, ensuring dignity and individuality are upheld.
• Follow all health‑and‑safety, fire safety and COSHH procedures.

Required profile

• Hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and demonstrate high personal hygiene standards.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety, Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
• Ability to sustain physical effort and manage a demanding workload.
• Positive, flexible attitude with a strong team‑working ethic.
• Caring approach towards elderly residents.
