About the role
The Knowledge Lawyer – Litigation will support the Government Legal Department’s Litigation Directorate by fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and ensuring that legal expertise is easily accessible across the team.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor important developments in law and practice and translate them into useful updates and resources.
- Create and maintain practical tools such as lead lawyer notes, checklists, standard documents and precedents.
- Support lawyer onboarding and capture insight when colleagues move on.
- Organise and deliver legal training, both online and in‑person, including induction sessions and guidance.
- Collaborate with legal training groups, L&D specialists, panel law firms and clients to design training that meets real needs.
- Promote available training and help lawyers access the right development opportunities.
