About the role

A supportive Greenwich primary school near Charlton Station is seeking a KS1 Intervention Teacher to deliver targeted literacy and numeracy support for Years 1 and 2. This non‑class‑based, fixed‑term role focuses on accelerating progress for pupils who need additional academic assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver structured phonics and early numeracy interventions for small‑group and one‑to‑one sessions.
• Track pupil progress using assessment data and adapt strategies accordingly.
• Collaborate closely with the KS1 Lead and SENCo to ensure cohesive support.
• Maintain accurate records of interventions and outcomes.

Required profile

• Proven experience teaching KS1 (Years 1‑2).
• Confidence delivering phonics and early number interventions.
• Effective use of assessment to inform planning.
• Ability to engage pupils in small‑group and individual settings.
