KS1 SEND Teacher – Full‑time (Trial) – Hounslow

About the role

Protocol Education is partnering with an inclusive primary school in Hounslow to recruit a KS1 SEND Teacher for a full‑time position starting September 2026. The role begins with a trial week commencing 22 June 2026 and focuses on leading provision for a small group of Year 1 pupils with complex Speech & Language, Social Communication and SEND needs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead learning and intervention programmes for a dedicated group of Year 1 pupils.
• Work closely with support staff to deliver a highly personalised curriculum.
• Create and maintain an engaging, structured classroom environment.
• Liaise with the SENDCO, senior leadership, class teachers and parents.
• Adapt existing plans and resources to meet individual pupil needs.
• Monitor progress and contribute to EHCP targets and outcomes.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or significant relevant SEND teaching experience.
• Proven experience supporting young children with complex SEND needs.
• Strong knowledge of Speech & Language and Social Communication difficulties.
• Passion for inclusion and improving outcomes for vulnerable learners.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
