KS1 Teacher

About the role

We are seeking a KS1 Teacher to join a large primary academy in Uxbridge from October 2026 for the remainder of the academic year. The position can be full‑time, part‑time or contractor and offers a long‑term placement within a successful multi‑academy trust.

Key responsibilities

• Teach a Key Stage 1 class, delivering the National Curriculum.
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons, including high‑quality phonics instruction.
• Assess pupil progress and adapt teaching to meet individual needs.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment and high expectations for behaviour.
• Collaborate with colleagues, support staff and parents.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 1.
• Strong understanding of phonics and the KS1 curriculum.
• Effective classroom management and organisational skills.
• Commitment to high expectations for behaviour and learning.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
