KS1 Teacher – Maternity Cover – Full‑time

About the role
This full‑time maternity cover position starts in September at a primary school in Tower Hamlets, London. You will teach Key Stage 1 pupils, delivering engaging, differentiated lessons while maintaining a positive classroom atmosphere.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver daily lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum.
- Assess pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants, support staff and parents to support pupil development.
- Manage classroom behaviour and create an inclusive learning environment.
- Contribute to the school’s wider initiatives and staff development activities.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
- Experience teaching within Key Stage 1.
- Strong understanding of phonics and the KS1 curriculum.
- Excellent communication and classroom‑management skills.
- Passion for inspiring young learners and supporting their academic, social and emotional growth.
