KS1 Teacher – Primary School (Fixed‑Term)

About the role

An exciting one‑year fixed‑term opportunity is available for a KS1 Teacher at a well‑established primary school in the heart of Waltham Forest. The role starts in September 2026 and offers the chance to progress to a permanent position based on performance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging KS1 lessons that meet the national curriculum.
• Create a supportive classroom environment where pupils feel confident and motivated.
• Assess and track pupil progress, using data to inform future teaching.
• Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
• Collaborate with the wider teaching team to share best practice.
• Contribute positively to the wider school community.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching KS1 (desirable but not mandatory).
• Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum.
• Creative, enthusiastic approach to teaching.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Commitment to achieving the best outcomes for pupils.
