KS1 Teaching Assistant for SEND Children (1-2-1)

About the role
We are looking for a KS1 Teaching Assistant to work one‑to‑one with a SEND child in a primary school setting on the Wirral. You will support the teacher in daily routines, learning activities and behaviour management, helping to create a positive and engaging environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one support to a KS1 child with special educational needs.
- Assist the teacher with classroom routines, group tasks and learning activities.
- Help modify challenging behaviour and promote a positive learning atmosphere.
- Support the child’s day‑to‑day needs and encourage independence.
Required profile
- Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant transferable experience in care.
- Proactive, supportive attitude and confidence working with children of varying abilities.
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow teacher directions.
- Passion for education and flexibility to adapt to classroom needs.
